This is me playing in a band whilst in my Michaelmas (Christmas) term at Oxford University.

I was playing keyboards at the Elm Tree (which is a pub on Cowley Road) OX4.  Singing was Niall Stanage, bass

David Davis and drums Stephen MacDonall.  I had grown my hair long to look like a member of Oxford

indie rockers Supergrass long before I ever met them or had even heard of them!

This is Sally Rushton's boyfriend Guy who went to Oxford Brookes University when it

changed from being a Polytechnic.  He is trying to show that he has a steady hand even though

he hasn't had a drink and so it is therefore perfectly okay for him to have a drink.  The picture

was taken in my rooms at The Isis guest house, though Sally's jumper is on the chair so she

wasn't far away.

Gosh wasn't I handsome then (still am, of course).  This was a room allocated for the day to the band I was in in final year at University.

I am on the left and band-mate Charlie Philips is on the right . He is looking scary with an earring and I am slim and wiry.  The event was

St.John's college ball in 1996 and we played first then Spicy Goat and Right Said Fred.
